Japanese accounting & tax firm · Singapore
Salary: SGD 4,000 – 9,000 / month (based on experience and scope)
Own a portfolio of client accounts at a Japanese accounting and tax firm in Singapore, handling full-set bookkeeping through to statutory financial statements and the related tax work. Clients are mainly owner-managed companies and Japanese private clients relocating to Singapore, so day-to-day work is in Japanese, with English used internally and with external parties. The firm operates on a strict no-overtime basis and is hiring with its next generation of leadership in mind.
Responsibilities
- Handle full-set bookkeeping and month-end closing
- Prepare statutory financial statements in English and Japanese
- Support corporate and individual tax computation and filing
- Communicate directly with Japanese-speaking clients
- Prepare reports for the Japan head office in Japanese
- Liaise with local colleagues and external parties in English
Requirements
- Eligible to work in Singapore (Citizen, PR, DP holder or EP-eligible)
- Business-level Japanese
- Business-level English
- 3+ years' hands-on experience at an accounting or tax firm
- Able to prepare a full set of financial statements independently
