Accounting consultancy for Japanese companies · Kuala Lumpur
Salary: RM 10,000 – 15,000 / month (negotiable beyond the range for strong experience)
Act as the bridge between Japanese client companies and local delivery teams at an accounting consultancy in Kuala Lumpur, covering market-entry support, accounting and tax review, and visa applications. The emphasis is on reviewing and coordinating rather than producing — checking bookkeeping and tax filings and keeping projects on track. Client communication and documentation are in Japanese, with English used for local staff and authorities; work pass sponsorship is provided.
Responsibilities
- Support company incorporation and licence applications
- Review bookkeeping and monthly and annual reports
- Review tax filings and support audits
- Support work and dependant visa applications
- Handle enquiries from Japanese client companies
- Coordinate with local staff and manage project progress
Requirements
- Japanese at JLPT N1 level or equivalent
- Business-level English
- Four-year university degree
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Comfortable in a client-facing role
- Looking to build a long-term career in Malaysia
