Salary: MYR 7,000 – 7,500 / month (including language allowance)
Interpret between Japanese and English during medical consultations at a Japanese-speaking clinic in Kuala Lumpur, covering diagnoses, treatment plans and medication instructions, and acting as a cultural bridge between patients and healthcare professionals. Alongside interpreting you will support clinic operations — reception, patient registration, appointment scheduling, enquiries by email and LINE, billing, insurance claim forms and payment collection — and help with dispensing support, medical records, sales reports and duty rosters. Shift-based, eight working hours a day with eight days off per month, with a language allowance, training and a career progression path. Applications are welcome from candidates based in Malaysia and overseas.
Responsibilities
- Provide consecutive Japanese–English interpretation during medical consultations, covering diagnoses, treatment plans and medication instructions
- Act as a cultural and linguistic bridge between patients and healthcare professionals, maintaining strict confidentiality
- Support clinic operations including reception, patient registration, appointment scheduling and enquiries by email and LINE
- Manage billing, insurance claim forms and payment collection by cash or card
- Assist with dispensing support — entering prescriptions, preparing medications and explaining usage to patients
- Maintain medical records, prepare sales reports and manage staff duty rosters
