Salary: MYR 5,500 – 7,500 / month (negotiable)
Sell industrial products for a Japanese trading company in Kuala Lumpur, with around 80% of the role managing a portfolio of existing accounts and 20% developing new business. You will propose a broad range of products — electronic components, metal-processed parts for automotive engines, mechanical components for home appliances and construction films — and build long-term relationships with customers to understand their requirements and grow the account. The role includes domestic travel to destinations such as Penang and Johor, with overseas travel as the business requires. Hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm with flexibility, and the package includes housing and transport allowances, an annual performance bonus, mileage reimbursement, a yearly salary review, annual leave from 14 days, and a mobile phone and laptop. Probation is three months.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of existing accounts (around 80%) and develop new business (around 20%)
- Propose and sell electronic components, automotive metal-processed parts, mechanical components for home appliances and construction films
- Build long-term customer relationships, understand requirements and identify opportunities to grow the account
- Travel domestically to destinations such as Penang and Johor, and overseas as the business requires
Requirements
- Eligible to work in Malaysia (no employment visa sponsorship)
- Conversational Japanese
- Business-level English
- Around 1 year of sales experience, or none with a strong interest in the field
- Own a personal vehicle for business use
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally
